Artistic voices from the Amazon

Marcos Alfredo Escudero (born August 12, 1979, in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina) is an outstanding artist who has been working in Yarinacocha, Peru, for over a decade. In his works, he masterfully combines oil paints and acrylics on canvas, using natural pigments provided by nature itself.

His art is inspired by the vibrant landscape and culture of his adopted home and reflects the colors and beauty of the surrounding environment.

His works are inspired by the rich biodiversity and indigenous cultures of the Amazon region, particularly the Shipibo-Konibo, Yaguas, and Boras peoples.

The series “Amazonía – Pueblos indígenas” captures the essence of its inhabitants in captivating expressions. The faces, filled with smiles, nostalgia, meditation, and joy, reflect the magic and mystery of the jungle and invite the viewer to appreciate the richness and cultural heritage of this region.

Through his art, Escudero reminds us of the importance of loving and protecting the Amazon in all its abundance. Acquiring his works means not only appreciating unique pieces, but also supporting indigenous cultures and their heritage in the modern world.
